LEGAL ADVOCATE

Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This is a full-time position mainly responsible for the legal advocacy and services of the resident and non-resident victims. Outreach services are administered to victims through court liaison services and by referral. This position is responsible for holding legal clinics, court accompaniment, transportation to and from legal proceedings, filing TPOS and victims' compensation, and provides safety planning and referrals for other resources.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, social work, education or related helping profession is preferred.
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
Valid GA driver’s license with no offenses.
Drug screen and criminal records/background check will be conducted on candidate.

TRANSPORTER/VICTIM ADVOCATE
Full-time
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This is a full-time position with the primary responsibility of transporting clients to and from appointments, assisting clients with luggage, packages, and belongings; performing light maintenance jobs; maintaining cleanliness of all vehicles for FJC transportation purposes, serving as a Victim Advocate when not transporting clients to include providing case management for program clients; assisting clients in the development of service plans, safety plans and reassessments as directed by supervisor; providing support, direct services and relocation assistance as necessary and/or appropriate; compiling data for monthly statistical reporting.
Minimum requirements:
Two-year college degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field, or; three
years' experience in victimology or related field.
• One-year internship or two years' work experience in social work, case management or related field with direct service delivery.
Two years recovery from personal experience in domestic violence related issues and/or addiction recovery.
No alcohol or drug violations.
Must be able to drive a 15-passenger van.
Must be able to lift fifty pounds.
Valid GA driver’s license with no offenses.

CHILDREN’S COORDINATOR
Full-time
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This is a full-time position mainly responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of the Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program (PSSF) funded services. This position is responsible for monitoring all child intake and PSSF services. Responsible for the operation of the Shelter's Children's Program. Specializes in services to extend safety and advocacy to children in the program.
Minimum requirements:
Four-year college degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field, or; six
years' experience in victimology or related field.
• One-year internship or two years' work experience in early childhood, child psychology or related field.
First-Aid and CPR Certified
No alcohol or drug violations
Valid GA driver’s license, personal vehicle
Recommended:
Two years’ previous experience in domestic violence shelter work or advocacy, rape crisis intervention, or case management.
Training, coursework, or CEU’s in domestic violence shelter work or advocacy, rape crisis intervention, or case management.

VICTIM ADVOCATE/LIMITED SERVICES WORKER
Weekends/Holidays
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM and 4:00 PM - Midnight
This is a substitute, entry level position working mostly weekends and holidays with the primary responsibility of maintaining client, shelter, and program security; documenting all clients, volunteer and/or shelter-related incidents as per policies; answering and properly documenting all telephone and/or crisis calls as per policies; and monitoring nightly/weekend shift operations. There are two shifts per day (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM and 4:00 - Midnight). Applicants are needed to work either shift at alternating times.
Minimum requirements:
GED/High school diploma.
First-Aid and CPR Certified
No alcohol or drug violations
Valid GA driver’s license, personal vehicle.
Recommend:
Two years’ previous experience in domestic violence shelter work or advocacy, rape crisis intervention, or case management
Degree/Diploma/Certificate in related field.
