Waycross Family Justice Center

The Waycross Family Justice Center is proud to be fully open and serving our community. Since its launch, the center has become a vital multi-agency, multidisciplinary hub, bringing essential services for victims of interpersonal violence together under one roof.

The Family Justice Center model is built around the principle of β€œone door, many resources.” Rather than navigating multiple systems and locations, survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse can come to one centralized location to receive:

  • Legal support and advocacy

  • Counseling and therapy

  • Medical and health referrals

  • Emergency protective orders

  • Shelter, housing assistance, and safety planning

  • Employment, education, and economic resources

  • Child support, social services, and more

By coordinating among government agencies, nonprofits, law enforcement, and community organizations, the Center reduces duplication, speeds access, and helps survivors avoid retelling their stories over and over.

What Is the Family Justice Center?

Over the past year, Waycross Family Justice Center has made real impact in the six-county Waycross Judicial Circuit. The Center:

  • Reduced the burden on survivors to navigate fragmented systems

  • Improved safety outcomes through coordinated response

  • Increased accountability by enhancing collaboration among agencies

  • Streamlined crisis intervention, supporting faster, more holistic care

  • Empowered survivors with wrap-around services and long-term planning

Every case handled here is an opportunity to support healing, restore dignity, and foster resilience.
