Attended the Medical College of Georgia and did his residency at University Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He completed his fellowship in Nephrology at Parkland Hospital in Dallas through University Southwestern. He lives in Jacksonville Florida. He is Senior partner at Nephrology Associates of NE Florida and travels to several Satellite clinics and Dialysis units to see patients. He recently came back to Waycross to start a clinic twice monthly in his hometown. Dr. Smart has 2 beautiful daughters, Taylor Ann Boudreau and Lauren Smart. He enjoys traveling, gardening and being an official for High School football. He can occasionally be seen on the side lines of college football games as part of the “chain gang”. Dr Smart was begged by his sister, Kathy to dance for DWTSS and agreed too just to stop her harassment! He says, she knows where I live, and I have to work with her every month! He is honored to be here tonight to help two great organizations.
