Scott Ray

Scott was raised in Hoboken, Georgia. After graduating from Brantley County High in 1996, I went to Parris Island, SC for some amazing Marine Corp training. A few months after completing my time in the Marines, I made the important decision to follow Christ. Soon after, I felt a tugging at my heart to work with youth and I still do today. I have been the youth pastor at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church for the past eleven years. As you well know, I act like I am one of the youth and you will see tonight that I still move like a teenager. Well, maybe not exactly...

I spend my days as a financial representative with Country Financial and agent with Colonial Life. I love helping others find comfort during life’s difficult times. It makes my day when I can help bless someone in their time of need. I am also a member of the Waycross Exchange Club. In 2005, I married Jeri Nolte, who has become the most amazing wife. God blessed us with twins, Jackson and Olivia, and they have brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. I love playing golf, watching TikTok videos, grilling a good steak, and I am one of the biggest Georgia Bulldogs fans that you will ever meet! I am super excited about being a part of this incredible event!
