Briana was born and raised in Waycross, GA. She graduated from Ware County High School in 2008 and continued her education with Georgia Southwestern State University where she graduated with her BBA in Management. Briana is the Director at Memorial Satilla Wound Care. Briana is married to her high school sweetheart, Brian Chapman and they have three daughters: Landree Kate (9), Charlee Ava (5) & Pippi Sprinklehearts (miniature schnauzer). Briana is active in the community and is involved with several organizations including Rotary Club, Waycross Service League, Board member for A Day to Remember, and is a Ware County Chamber Ambassador. She is a member of Leadership Waycross 2020/2021 *Best Class Ever*. In her free time, Briana enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and spontaneous trips to Disney World. She admits that she loves dancing, but is not a professional, and a little (ok, a lot) nervous about dancing in front of so many people. She is excited and honored to be able to help support these 2 awesome organizations!
Benji graduated from Ware County High in 1996. After high school, he attended Waycross College. In 1998, he began his career with the Waycross Police Department. He has served in nearly every role within the police department. He and his canine partner, Jess, received the Exceptional Service Award from the North American Police Work Dog Association in 2010. He is a 2016 graduate of the Professional Management Program through Columbus State University. He currently serves as the Patrol Section Commander and SWAT Team Commander for the department. Benji has served as the secretary for the Okefenokee Lions club and is an active member at Bible Heritage Church.
Benji is the youngest son of Curtis and Jeanette Hersey of Waycross. Benji has two siblings, Amanda Waters and Curt Hersey. He met his wife Kandice in 1998, and the two wed in 2001. From their union came two sons, Colton (12) and Ian (6). Benji’s idea of fun is spending time with those closest to him. He enjoys fishing on the coast, traveling, and hiking in the mountains.
