Kimberly Godwin Boatright is a native of Alma, GA……Blueberry Country! She was an Honor Graduate of Bacon County High School, Class of 2000. After high school, she worked for the family business which consisted of pine straw harvesting and trucking. She is now the CEO of this company and owns and operates a blueberry farm. She was married to the late Waylon Boatright. They were high school sweethearts for 5 years and were married for 13 years. Kimberly is the proud mother to Miss Bindi Boatright…. a vivacious 8-year-old that keeps her mama EXTREMELY busy! She is a member of New Hope SCM Church in Bacon County and a member of the Alma Service League. Kimberly enjoys spending time with family and friends. Kimberly says, “I am excited to have this opportunity to help support the Magnolia House and Satilla Hospice!”
Lane Wade was born and raised in Alma, GA…..the Blueberry Capital! He has been married for 35 years to his college sweetheart, Sharon Wade. They have been blessed with 5 children, 1 grandchild and two more presently in the “oven”. He graduated from Bacon County High School in 1978. He continued his education and graduated from ABAC and UGA with Agriculture degrees. His passion in agriculture is BLUEBERRIES!! Growing blueberries has been in his blood for 42 years. He is the owner of Alma Nursery, Inc. and Alma Berry Farms. Outside of work he is very active with his church, First Baptist Alma, where he is a deacon. Lane is very active in the Alma/Bacon County community. He serves as the Director of Bacon County Farm Bureau and is a member on the Bacon County Tax Board. During football season, Lane can be found ALL DAY at the concession stand for home games, where he is preparing refreshments for the fans to cheer on our Bacon County Red Raiders. He has served in this capacity for the past 8 years and counting. Lane enjoys spending his down time with his wife and family and enjoys road bike riding with friends.
